2004 Bombardier Traxter 500XL

This ATV has a handy manual dump box with a load capacity of 600#. Its unique step-through design makes mounting and dismounting easy and convenient. It is a 5-speed semi-automatic with electric thumb shifter, and high & low ranges. No issues with the transmission, and it shifts as it should.

All plastic is is good shape with no cracks, and the seat is in good shape also. The 498cc Rotax engine runs smoothly, but is lacking in power in high range. There is a pronounced ticking in the valve train. The complete head, including valves and lifters were replaced with new, but the ticking persists. It does not use oil, and there are no leaks. It is cold-blooded, but has an engine heater that can be plugged in for easier starting. The tires are good. Hours and miles are unknown, as the speedometer doesn't work.

This ATV won't burn up any trails, but it is handy for handling chores around the place such as feeding or fixing fence. The dump box is especially useful. It also has a winch and 50" snowplow.
