Position Overview: As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing hands-on assistance and emotional support to our clients, who may include seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness or injury. You will help clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with clients and make a profound impact on their well-being and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing, while promoting independence and dignity.
*Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary preferences and restrictions, ensuring clients receive adequate nutrition and hydration.
*Give medication reminders
*Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in conversation, activities, and hobbies to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
*Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, vacuuming, dusting, and tidying living spaces to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
*Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, errands, and other outings, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
*Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to the Office & family members.
*Document care provided and observations of client's condition accurately and promptly in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
*Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respect for clients' privacy and autonomy in all interactions and activities.
*Qualifications:
*High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in healthcare or caregiving preferred.
*Prior experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or personal care attendant preferred, but not required.
*Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to help others and make a positive impact on their lives.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
*Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing needs and situations.
*Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and assisting clients with mobility as needed.
*Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred for caregivers who may need to accompany clients on outings or appointments.
