Reason Selling: "Project truck"
Rare 1982 Ford F100 shortbox side step. Motor is a 302 from a 1982 Mercury Grand Marquis. NOT IN RUNNING CONDITON. but did run before engine swap was done. Listed is everything that has been replaced.
new high volume oil pump, new timing gears and chain, new fly wheel with a new 11 inch clutch plate, new 11 inch pressure plate and new clutch release bearing, new power steering pump with both new hoses, new upper and lower radiator hoses, new heater hoses, plus I installed an Edelbrock Performer 4 barrel intake manifold. Also installed new Sanderson shorty exhaust headers and the necessary parts to hook up the headers to the exhaust pipes are in the cab. The engine mounts are also new. I would recommend that when the exhaust is hooked up the mufflers be replaced because the old ones are too loud.
There is an electric in line fuel pump with a toggle switch under the dash. You will need to get a new radiator because the old one was totally shot. The old engine caught on fire and burned some of the wiring. There is a short red electrical lead in the cab that will connect to the wiring harness so the oil pressure sending unit can be hooked up. I put in new temperature sending unit and oil pressure sending unit already. There should also be a new PCV valve in the cab.
The pickup came with a 3.8 V-6 engine which means the transmission is light duty and won't take the increased horsepower of the 302 under "hot rod" use. There is a V-8 3 speed transmission transmission in the bed that can be used plus there is a new 3 speed shifter in the box in the cab. (My dad did all the work not me!)
